We can accept requests for repeat prescriptions at any of our three clinics. For orders placed by phone please ensure you tell the receptionist which clinic you wish to collect your medication from. Alternatively you may fill in the online form below.
Please provide us with at least two working days’ notice of a request for a repeat prescription. We do not always have every medicine in stock and we do not want you to have a wasted trip to the surgery. If for any reason we cannot issue your pet’s prescription we will contact you to explain why.
Our practice policy is to provide up to three months’ worth of medication at a time; this is regardless of if we supply the medication or provide a written prescription. We make an exception for flea and worming products as these often come in boxes of three or six months’ supply. Requests for less than three months’ worth are fine; we understand that some people wish to spread out the cost. If you require a written prescription please make a note in the ‘additional comments’ box. A fee will be charged for this.
We require all pets to have been checked within the last six months before a prescription medication can be supplied for them. We make an exception for parasite treatments where the pet must have been seen in the last 12 months. In some cases eg diabetics, elderly animals or those with unstable medical conditions checks will be more frequent (the vet will advise). In occasional circumstances eg closure for bank holidays or if you are going away we will supply up to two weeks’ worth when the pet is overdue a check but this must be by special request and an appointment will need to be booked before medications are dispensed.
Prescription pet foods should also be ordered with 48-hours notice but other pet food and non-prescription items can be purchased over the counter at any time. You are welcome to pre-order them to guarantee that we have what you need in stock.
